Muntlix parish church
The Roman Catholic parish church Muntlix is located in the village of Muntlix in the municipality of Zwischenwasser in the Feldkirch district in Vorarlberg . It is consecrated to St. Fidelis and belongs to the Rankweil deanery in the diocese of Feldkirch . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
The church was built between 1958 and 1962 according to plans by Franz Magloth and Norbert Ender and consecrated in 1962.
architecture
- Church exterior
The church is a north-facing rectangular building under a flat gable roof . There is a free-standing church tower in the southeast . On the facade is a mosaic of St. Fidelis. It was created by Konrad Honold in 1962. The copper-driven portals are decorated with angels.
- Church interior
Inside, the church forms a large hall on a hexagonal floor plan. Above it is a flat wooden ceiling. The gallery rests on two supports. The glass paintings come from the hand of Hans Strobl . The designs were carried out by the Tyrolean Glass Painting and Mosaic Institute . On the left side, the "fishing Peter " and "Christ on the Mount of Olives" is shown. St. Sebastian is depicted on the right . The concrete glass windows on the facade are also by Konrad Honold from 1960. St. Ignatius is depicted on the left, St. Gallus in the middle and St. Theresa on the right .
Furnishing
On the altar wall is a relief on which Christ hands the crown to St. Fidelis. Below are scenes from the life of St. Fidelis: "Fidelis as a lawyer", "Entry into the Capuchin order", "Fidelis as a messenger of faith" and the "murder in Seewies". The relief by H. Baier . Zita Strobl created the stations of the cross . The statue of Maria Immaculate comes from Josef Bachlechner the Younger . The crucifix comes from the so-called poorhouse chapel from the beginning of the 16th century. On the reverse there are the designations 1460 and 1852.

Bells
The bells were cast by Grassmayr in Innsbruck .
