The Roman Catholic parish church Frauental an der Laßnitz is located in the market town of Frauental an der Laßnitz in the district of Deutschlandsberg in Styria . The parish church , consecrated to the motherhood of Mary (with the solemn festival on January 1st) belonged to the then dissolved dean's office of Deutschlandsberg of the diocese of Graz-Seckau until the end of August 2018 ; The church is a listed building

history

The church was built in 1954 according to the plans of the architect Karl Lebwohl and on July 1, 1958 it was elevated to a parish church.

description

The altar from the middle of the 17th century originally stood in the Bruck hospital church. The altar panel shows Mary with child and was painted towards the end of the 16th century. The cheek ornament dates from the first quarter of the 18th century. On the altar there are also two statues of saints from the first half of the 18th century, which were brought here from Osterwitz . There are also two ceramic reliefs designed by Wilma Schalk-Niedermayer in 1955/56 in the church . The baptismal font and pulpit were designed in 1984 by the sculptor Alfred Schlosser .
