Parish church Oberfellabrunn, view from the north

The Roman Catholic parish church of Oberfellabrunn is located in Oberfellabrunn, a village in the municipality of Hollabrunn (Lower Austria) behind the northern line of the street on a slope. It is consecrated to St. Anna . The church belongs to the Hollabrunn dean's office in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg and is a listed building .

Parish history

Oberfellabrunn was mentioned in a document around 1638, when it was temporarily parished with Groß and Wolfsbrunn to Hollabrunn. During this time, the parishes in the area were incorporated into the Passau diocese , because Christianization started in today's Bavaria. As early as 1659, Oberfellabrunn and Groß came to the Sitzendorf parish .

On July 4, 1784, the Bishop of Passau renounced the Austrian part of his diocese, with which the quarter under the Manhartsberg came from the Diocese of Passau to the Archdiocese of Vienna. In the same year, the parish was raised in Oberfellabrunn.
