At the northern exit of Weyerburg rises the St. A branch church consecrated to Kunigunde - a baroque , essentially medieval hall building with a south tower - which is partly surrounded by a former cemetery wall. An older church, mentioned in a document in 1317, was probably located in the "Old Village". On the occasion of the clearing out of Eggendorf im Thale in the middle of the 14th century, the church was rebuilt at its current location. The mighty nave, which is medieval in essence , with simple, baroque plastered fields, arched windows and curved gable top between volutes on the west side, dates back to the second quarter of the 18th century in its current form. The Gothic choir with a polygonal end and buttresses , which were omitted in the 18th century , has a baroque plastered field structure, rounded windows and an eaves cornice. The south tower, medieval in essence, with plastered fields, was rebuilt after a fire in 1826. The nave, barrel-vaulted with stitch caps over double straps on wide pillars, has two bays. The elevated, essentially Gothic, two-bay choir with a three-eighth end and baroque groin vault between belt arches on capitals with umbilical disks and painted pilasters dates from around 1730. In the south wall of the choir there is a Gothic niche from the 14th century with a trefoil framing. The furnishings include a baroque high altar, marked 1731, a columned retable with powerful, protruding entablature and a volute excerpt flanked by putti with a relief radiating wreath , a baroque sarcophagus altar with volutes and foliage decoration and a baroque reliquary pyramid.
