Catholic parish church of St. Apostles in stone house

The Roman Catholic parish church Steinhaus is in the municipality of Steinhaus in the district of Wels-Land in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to all apostles and belongs to the deanery Wels-Land in the diocese of Linz . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The church is first mentioned in a document in 1270. The current church was built in 1683.

architecture

Church exterior

The built-in west tower, which was expanded in 1793, has an onion helmet . In 1882 the Joseph Chapel was added to the south.

Church interior

The single-nave nave is three-bay. Above it is a barrel vault with stitch caps . The stab cap barrel vaulted choir has two bays and closes in 3/8.

Furnishing

The baroque high altar dates from 1693. The statues are by Johann Baptist Carlperger . The richly decorated baroque pulpit dates from the end of the 17th century.

Bells

The bells were cast in a shape of 1440 in the years 1492 (840 kg, by Master Veit zu Enns), 1518 (50 kg, by Georius Sigharter zu Leubenpach) and 1522 (100 kg).
