Murnau care office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Murnau Nursing Department , also known as the Murnau Court , had been a nursing department of the Ettal Monastery since the 14th century, with its seat at the castle in Murnau , a municipality in what is now the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district .

history

When the Wittelsbach bailiff ended cannot be proven. It is not clear in the sources whether it was at the transition from Murnau to Ettal Abbey in 1332 or later. The castle or bailiwick was not listed in the first book of the monastery founded in 1330 in the middle of the 14th century.

The caretaker was the chief official for the entire property of the monastery within the district. From the middle of the 14th century , these included Eschenlohe , Huglfing , Murnau, Riedhausen , Schwaigen , Seehausen and Weindorf .

The first nurse of the Murnau nursing office was probably Heinrich von Aufkirchen in 1348 . As of December 31, 1348, Konrad von Iffeldorf can be verified. The nurse or judge had a clerk and other service personnel available. In addition to the castle as an official residence, there was already a box or office building at Untermarkt 7 in 1332 , which also served as a prison. In 1390, the first caretaker, Paul Aresinger, is recorded, who permanently resided in Murnau.

With the secularization in 1802/03, the Ettal monastery was abolished and with it the Murnau office.
