pg.99 (also pageninetynine ) was an emocore band from Sterling , Virginia USA , whose style also Screamo can be described.
history
The band comes from the DC hardcore punk scene, which is based in the nearby capital of the USA, Washington, DC . In the course of their time, the bassists changed more frequently, as did the guitarists. The band released a few splits with other bands and toured the US quite often. After the band split up in 2003, many of the former band members play in other groups. Pygmy Lush , High Speed Changer , Haram , but above all City of Caterpillar , to name a few.
style
The band's style is emo . Slow, monotonous song and melody passages alternate with - also longer - brute, chaotic screaming parts. There are also parts of the song that are played very quickly, as is more common in Screamo . The band also experiments with other genres and styles, such as grindcore or noise rock .
The band's sound is also described like this:
"Pg.99's combination of Heroin like chaotic sections and even more intense grind like guitar playing caused the band to create quite the stir in their five year existence."
