Phagnalon pygmaeum is a plant from the family of the daisy family (Asteraceae).
features
Phagnalon pygmaeum is a perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 3 to 15 centimeters. The leaves are oblong, spatulate, flat, glabrous or densely tomentose and have entire margins. The flower heads are short stalked. The bracts are few rows, lanceolate, pointed and pale.
The flowering period extends from June to July.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
Phagnalon pygmaeum is on Crete in the prefectures of Chania, Heraklion and Lasithi endemic . The species grows on rocks and scree slopes at altitudes of 1500 to 2300 meters.

A synonym of Phagnalon pygmaeum (Sieber) Greuter is Phagnalon pumilum (Sm.) DC.
