Phare de Kermorvan is the name of a lighthouse in the Breton municipality of Le Conquet in the Finistère department . It has a range of 22 nautical miles and is the link between the lighthouses Saint-Mathieu and Trézien on the Four-Passage (Chenal du Four) - an important sea route between the mainland and the Molène archipelago .
The square lighthouse was built in 1849 on a rock at the end of the protected Kermorvan peninsula and is the most westerly lighthouse on the French mainland. Access to the tower is ensured via a granite bridge. The lighthouse cannot be visited and has been remotely controlled from Brest since 1994 .
