The Phelps River is a river in the north of the Australian territory Northern Territory .

River course

The river has its source on the southeast slopes of Black Mountain in Arnhem Land and flows southeast through completely unpopulated area. North of Limmen National Park , at Port Roper it flows into the Roper River .
