Extraction and presentation
Phenylgermanium trichloride can be obtained by reacting germanium (IV) chloride with the Grignard reagent phenylmagnesium bromide or by conproportionation with tetraphenylgermanium at 350 ° C or by reaction of phenyl iodide with cesium germanium trichloride .
