Phil Joanou
Phil Joanou (born November 20, 1961 in La Cañada Flintridge , California ) is an American film director .
He became known for his work with the Irish rock band U2 , for whom he shot the music documentary Rattle and Hum in 1988 . Other works for U2 include one of the three music videos for the song “ One ”, the video for “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)”, the video for “If God Will Send His Angels”, the two videos for “Sometimes You Can ' t Make It On Your Own ”, the video for“ Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses ”and the music video for the song“ All Because of You ”.
In 1987 he directed his first feature film with Faustrecht - Terror in high school . Further productions for film and television followed.
