La Cañada Flintridge is an American city in California in Los Angeles County . It has about 21,100 inhabitants (as of 2004) on an area of 22.4 km² and is embedded in the valley of the San Gabriel River between the San Gabriel Mountains , Verdugo Mountains and the San Rafael Hills. The few prominent residents include Emily Osment (actress / singer), Tiffany Alvord (singer / songwriter), Steve Priest (musician) and Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld (classical musicians and music teachers, until 2019 and 2007 respectively).
The most important facilities and attractions include the Flintridge Preparatory School (high school with a science / cultural center and faculties of fine arts, aluminum and development), Emily and Haley Joel Osment were students here, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is a federally funded one NASA's Research and Development Center, Descanso Gardens is a 150 acre botanical garden.
