Haley Joel Osment (born April 10, 1988 in Los Angeles ) is an American actor . He has a younger sister named Emily Osment who is also an actress.

Life

Osment made his film debut in 1994 at the age of six in the television film Hell on Earth - The Laurie Kellogg Case . In the same year he played the son of the main character, who was portrayed by Tom Hanks , in Forrest Gump .

The highlight of his career so far was the 1999 film The Sixth Sense , in which he played a boy who saw people who were already dead. For this role, Osment received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

His next successes were the drama The Happiness Principle with Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey and the science fiction drama AI - Artificial Intelligence directed by Steven Spielberg , in which he played an artificial person at the side of Jude Law .

After a three-year hiatus, Osment starred in the 2006 sports drama Home of the Giants . He is also the English-speaking voice actor for the characters Sora and Vanitas in the computer game series Kingdom Hearts .

In July 2006, Osment was in California under the influence of alcohol in a car accident in which his car overturned and he carried off a broken shoulder, multiple rib fractures and abrasions.

From 2007 to 2011 he attended the Tisch School of the Arts in New York .

Haley Joey Osment has so far no permanent German voice actor. So far, Constantin von Jascheroff , Hannes Maurer , Wilhelm-Rafael Garth and Filipe Pirl , Max Felder and Kim Hasper have given him their votes twice . In the film The Sixth Sense (1999), which was particularly important for his career , he was voiced by Sebastian Günther .
