Life
Philip Anthony Egan received on 4 August 1984, the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy of the Diocese of Shrewsbury incardinated .
On July 11, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Portsmouth. The episcopal ordination donated him the Bishop Emeritus of Portsmouth, Crispian Hollis , on September 24th of the same year; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Shrewsbury, Mark Davies , and the Archbishop of Southwark , Peter David Smith .
