Philipp E. Zaeh

Philipp Emanuel Zaeh (* 1967 ) is a German economist and professor for business administration at the HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration .

Life

Philipp E. Zaeh studied business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1987 to 1993 , where he graduated with a degree in business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.).

From 1993 to 1997 he completed his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. at the Institute for Auditing and Taxation at the University of Hamburg with Carl-Christian Freidank . He did his doctorate on the subject of decision support in risk-oriented auditing. Process-oriented models for IT-technical quantification of the components of the audit risk with special emphasis on the fuzzy logic . In 1998 his dissertation was awarded the University Prize for Exam Research from the University of Potsdam . In 1999, Zaeh passed the CFA Level I Examination and in 2010 completed training as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). Since 1997 he has worked in various positions in business .

Zaeh has been Professor of Business Administration with a focus on corporate accounting and taxes at HSBA since 2007 .

His subjects include business taxation , bookkeeping and (group) accounting ( HGB / IFRS / US-GAAP ), financial mathematics , investment and financing , cost and performance accounting , controlling , statistics , risk management (interest and currency risks ), international auditing standards ( ISA ) as well as company valuation .

Research priorities

His research interests include international accounting and auditing standards, company valuation and valuation of intangible assets , internal auditing and risk management as well as cost management .
