Philipp Jakob Husmann von Namedy (* in the 16th century; † 1611 ) was canon in Trier and Münster .

Life

Philipp Jakob Husmann von Namedy came from an Electoral Trier family that took his name from the Namedy Castle near Andernach. He was the son of Anton Husmann and his wife Margarethe von Eltz and became domicellar in Trier in 1558 . After studying in Freiburg and Dole , Philipp became cathedral capitular in 1569 and cathedral cantor the following year. On 29 August 1581 he took the Münstersche Dompräbende of the late Canon Bitter Raesfeld possession. Philipp completed another degree in Siena . In 1594 he was excommunicated for his bad behavior towards a prior . On February 8, 1596 he opted for the Dompropteiliche fief Overbeck as a deacon, which the Canon Johann von Letmathe had previously waived . After presentation of a certificate of the cathedral chapter of Trier, and two doctors about his health, he took on 28 March 1598 obedience Buldern possession. For the election of the Provost of the Cathedral in February 1611, he appointed authorized representatives, as he was unable to attend due to illness. On November 18, 1611, rumors of his death spread. The Elector Ernst von Bayern had given his prebend to Everhard Schade.
