Philipp Johannsen (born May 13, 1864 in Tetenbüll ; † April 4, 1937 in Eutin ) was a German politician (SHBLD).

Live and act

After attending primary school in Tetenbüll, Johannsen was trained as a forester in Lensahn . He later completed an apprenticeship in fishing in Munich , Eberswalde and Siehdichum. From 1882 he was a member of the Guard Jäger Regiment in Potsdam . In the years 1886 to 1902 Johannsen was active in the forestry service in the house Fideikommissgüter of the Grand Duke of Oldenburg. He then took on the job of fisheries inspector for almost seventeen years. He also wrote articles for specialist journals and political magazines. On April 1, 1919, Johannsen was dismissed from service as a result of the November Revolution of 1918, which also led to the overthrow of the Duke of Oldenburg.

Politically, Johannsen began to be active in the Schleswig-Holstein farmers 'and agricultural workers' democracy (SHBLD). On August 1, 1919, he replaced Detlef Thomsen , who had resigned, in the Weimar National Assembly elected in January 1919 , to which he was a member until it was dissolved in June 1920. Since his party did not have a parliamentary group in the National Assembly, Johannsen took on the status of a guest in the parliamentary group of the German Democratic Party (DDP). Immediately thereafter, Johannsen entered the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , where he represented constituency 14 (Schleswig-Holstein) until his early resignation in February 1921.
