Philipp Kuwert
Philipp Kuwert (born July 1, 1969 in Essen ) is a German doctor , psychotherapist , non-fiction author and university professor.
Live and act
Philipp Kuwert graduated from the Katholisches Gymnasium Leoninum in Handrup in May 1988 . He then did his community service and studied human medicine from 1990 to 1997 at the Philipps University of Marburg and the University of Pretoria in South Africa . In 1998 Kuwert received his doctorate on an internal , human-experimental topic. From 1998 to 2001 he worked as an intern and as an assistant doctor at the Center for Social Psychiatry Kurhessen in the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. After parental leave, he worked as a research assistant at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald in the Hanseatic City of Stralsund Clinic from 2002 to 2005 . In 2004 Kuwert qualified as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy and from 2006 he worked as a senior physician . In 2010 he completed his habilitation and was appointed private lecturer . In 2014 Philipp Kuwert became a specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and in 2016 chief physician of the newly founded clinic for psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy at the Helios Hanseklinikum Stralsund . He was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Greifswald in 2017. Since 2018 he has had the additional medical qualification in psychoanalysis . He has had his own practice as a psychoanalyst and group analyst since 2019.
