Philipp Lichti

Philipp Lichti (born July 5, 1881 in Au , † November 5, 1958 in Herrlehof ) was a German farmer , politician and Bavarian senator.

Life

Lichti attended elementary school in Au and the agricultural school in Landsberg am Lech . He learned the trade of a farmer on his parents' farms, namely the Haniel'schen Gut in Haimhausen and Gut Ellgau. In addition, he was an intern and administrator in various companies. In 1908 he leased his parents' estate Herrlehof , which he bought in 1918 and expanded into a seed breeding business. In 1946 the Economic Council became the Bavarian State Government's special representative for nutritional issues in Swabia . Until 1933 he sat on the German Agriculture Council in Berlin , on the Presidium of the State Chamber of Farmers and on the Supervisory Board of the North German Hagel Insurance, was second chairman of the district chamber of farmers and first chairman of the Association of Bavarian Sugar Beet Growers.

After the end of the war, Lichti was a co-founder of the BBV and from 1945 to 1957 its president in the district association of Swabia, he also sat on the presidium of the BBV, was deputy chairman of the Bavarian Raiffeisen Association and chairman of the supervisory boards of the Bavarian Raiffeisen Central Bank, Baywa and the cooperative advisory board . In 1946 Lichti was a member of the advisory state committee, the pre-parliament. At the end of 1953 he was elected to the Bavarian Senate . He carried out the mandate for almost five years and resigned it around two months before his death.
