Philipp Winkler (politician)

Philipp Friedrich Matthias Jakob Winkler (born September 4, 1875 in Ober-Flörsheim ; † October 14, 1962 Wiesbaden-Sonnenberg) was a Hessian lawyer and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Philipp Winkler was the son of the teacher Matthäus Winkler and his wife Helena, née Litters. Wolf, who was of Protestant faith, married Henriette nee Hackenbruch. He studied law and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. During his studies in 1896 he became a member of the Cimbria Würzburg fraternity . In 1905 he was admitted to the bar at the Oppenheim District Court , and later he was a lawyer in Wiesbaden.

From 1908 to 1918 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 6 / Oppenheim .
