Philipp von der Recke von Volmerstein

Count Philipp Heinrich Christian von der Recke von Volmerstein (born August 17 or 20, 1751 in Stockhausen ; † March 15, 1840 in Düsseldorf ) was a German nobleman and member of parliament.

The Recke family belonged to the Westphalian nobility of the county of Mark . On December 20, 1817, the Prussian king gave the Gotthard branch under the current name of von der Recke von Volmerstein the status of count . Von der Recke von Volmerstein, who was a Protestant denomination, married Luise Reichsfreiin von der Recke on July 9, 1784 († April 16, 1836). The sons Gotthard and Adalbert emerged from the marriage.

Von der Recke von Volmerstein was the owner of the manor. He was Lord of Volmerstein, Overdyk, Werdringen, Mallinckenrodt, Obernhoff and owner of the Volmerstein Lehnkammer. He was elected as a knight in the constituency of Mark for the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia in 1830/31, but did not take part in the state parliament.
