Philippe Delrieu (born August 10, 1959 in Tarbes ) is a former French saber fencer .
successes
Philippe Delrieu won the bronze medal with the team at the 1987 World Championships in Lausanne and 1989 in Denver . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1984 he reached the final unbeaten in the team competition in Los Angeles , in which the French team Italy had to admit defeat 3: 9. Together with Hervé Granger-Veyron , Pierre Guichot , Franck Ducheix and Jean-François Lamour , Delrieu received the silver medal. At the Olympic Games in 1988 he missed another medal win with the team in fourth and was also fourth in the individual competition. In the semifinals, he initially lost out to his teammate Jean-François Lamour before losing to Giovanni Scalzo in the battle for bronze .
