Philippe Liégeois (born July 8, 1947 in Durbuy , Belgium ), better known under his pseudonym Turk , is a Belgian comic artist .

Life

Liégeois worked with Bob de Groot on several comic series made in the style of André Franquin ( Gaston , Spirou and Fantasio ), Morris ( Lucky Luke ) or Raoul Cauvin / Willy Lambil ( The Blue Boys ). Bob de Groot was often responsible for the content and Liégeois was often responsible for the drawings.

At the age of 21 he made his debut in Spirou magazine, and from 1969 the big series Robin Ausdemwald ( Robin Dubois ) followed, which describes the adventures of Robin Hood with the sheriff in Sherwood Forest .

Based on Leonardo da Vinci , Liégeoise's next larger project was Leonardo (Léonard, from 1975). In 1971 he and Bob de Groot took over Percy Pickwick , a series about a British secret agent at MI5 , an old-school gentleman with an old-school machine gun, umbrella-rifle, cat and housekeeper.
