Philippe Peythieu (born September 25, 1950 ) is a French actor , voice actor and director

Career

In 1990 he was hired by FOX for the French dubbing of Homer Simpson in the cult series The Simpsons , and he also sets the characters Abraham Simpson and Otto Mann to music . While working on the series, he met his future wife Véronique Augereau , she dubbed the role of Marge Simpson . The couple have met the series creator Matt Groening three times; 2007 at the premiere of The Simpsons - The Film , 2008 at the Festival d'Animation Annecy and 2009 for the 20th anniversary of the series.

Peythieu appears in many DC Comics productions . He is best known as the voice of the penguin in most films , cartoons and video games , he has also dubbed the role in Tim Burton's film adaptation of Batman's Return , where the character was played by Danny DeVito , he has also been the French voice-over since that film by DeVito. He also dub actors such as Stephen Rea , Corbin Bernsen , Richard Schiff and David Morse . He is the voice of Dr. Nefarious in the video game series Ratchet and Clank .

Peythieu also worked as a dubbing director, so he was responsible for directing series such as 24 and Buffy .
