Philippe Plisson

Philippe Plisson (born January 12, 1951 in Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye , Gironde department ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007 .

After completing his studies, Plisson worked as a teacher in Marillac-le-Franc ( Charente department ) and in Saint-Ciers-sur-Gironde . He joined the Parti socialiste (PS) in 1977 and took part in the 1978 election campaign of Bernard Madrelle , who succeeded in entering parliament. Philippe Madrelle , who was elected senator in 1980, proposed to Plisson to hold regional offices and introduced him to other emerging politicians of the time. In 1983 he was elected mayor of his native Saint-Caprais-de-Blaye. In 1998, he was both the General Council and the department of Gironde than in the Regional Council of Aquitaine chosen. In 2001 he retired from the regional council. After Bernard Madrelle did not run for re-election in the parliamentary elections in 2007 , Plisson took over the socialist candidacy in the eleventh constituency of the Gironde department and entered the National Assembly. In 2012 he was re-elected.
