Philippe de La Guepière
Philippe de La Guêpière (* 1715 in Sceaux near Paris ; † October 30, 1773 in Paris) was a French architect .
Life
From 1734 to 1736 he attended the Paris Académie d'architecture . In 1752 he was appointed court architect to the court of the Duchy of Württemberg .
He was one of those builders who turned away from Rococo and developed the architectural style further in the direction of classicism .
De La Guêpière directed the expansion of the New Palace in Stuttgart , drafted the plans for the Monrepos Lake Palace in Ludwigsburg and most of the rooms in the Solitude Palace near Stuttgart. In 1768 he left the Württemberg court and went back to Paris.
