Phoinix (son of Agenor)
Phoinix (Φοῖνιξ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
Phoinix is mostly the son of Agenor , but Belos is also named as the father. Belos daughter Damno , Tyro and Argiope , daughter of Neilos, are passed down as mother . After Homer and many others, Phoinix was the father of Europe . The version seems older than the one in which Agenor is the father of Europe. As one of the five sons of Agenor , he was their brother in later versions. Phoinix's wives were Kassiepeia , Telephe , Telephassa or Parmide , depending on tradition . In terms of children, Astypaleia and Karme , Phineus , Kilix , Doryklos and Peiros are mentioned in addition to Europa .
Tire and Sidon are passed down as the place of residence of Phoinix, and he gave the country its name to Phenicia .
