Pia Lund

Pia Lund (actually: Heide Bohr ) (born June 5, 1963 in Dortmund ) is a German singer , songwriter , keyboard player and visual artist under the name Pia Bohr .

Life

Pia Lund received piano lessons as a child. She studied German and sport at the University of Dortmund. In 1984 Pia Lund founded the band Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub together with her then partner or husband Phillip Boa . There she took over the keyboard , synthesizer and the high vocal parts. Many songs are significantly influenced by Lund's composition and singing, for example the singles Container Love and And then she kissed her , which reached notable chart positions.

In 1986 Lund founded the Constrictor Records label together with Phillip Boa . In addition to the records by Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub , around 50 albums and 10 singles by German and above all British independent bands such as Published by Jowe Head , Talulah Gosh, and Television Personalities . The label's branches were Constrictor Musikverlag (or Constrictor Publishing ) and Film Noir . In 1991 the label ended its work. All of Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub and Beangrowers' releases have appeared on Film Noir since 1998 .

In 1997, Phillip Boa and Pia Lund split . Pia Lund left the band Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub due to personal differences.

Two years later their debut album Lundaland was released on EastWest Records. Pia Lund published her second solo album Gift on her website. In 2001 Pia Lund's remix album La Folie Angelique was released on EastWest Records, the remixes of To Rococo Rot , Console , Phillip Boa , von Sofa Surfers , Kreidler , Hans Nieswandt and others. a. contains. Since 2003 Pia Lund was again a member of Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub and took part in the album C 90 . At the end of 2013 she finished her work at Phillip Boa and the Voodooclub for the second time.

For a number of years Pia Lund has been working as a visual artist under the name Pia Bohr. Inspired by the sculptures of the surrealist and Dadaist Hans Arp , she makes wooden sculptures and gives workshops. She has been the second chairwoman of the Dortmunder Gruppe artists' association since June 2014 and a member of the Dortmund ARTgenossen .

Pia Lund lives in Dortmund in the Kreuzviertel.
