Picadero Jockey Club
Picadero Jockey Club was a Spanish sports club based in Barcelona , Catalonia . The various departments of the club acquired a total of 16 championship wins and 10 Cup wins and two wins of a baseball - European Cup .
history
The association was founded in 1951. He soon became known mainly through his basketball team, which was three times Spanish runner-up and twice won the national cup . In 1964 they beat Aismalíbar Montcada in the final with 63:51. In 1968 the team prevailed against Joventut de Badalona with 58:55. The team was also active on the European level three times. In the 1968/69 season in the European Cup Winners' Cup , where it was eliminated in round 2 and twice in the Korać Cup , where Picadero came once to the quarter-finals and once to the semi-finals.
After these respectable successes, Picadero lost a lot of influence. In particular, local rivals FC Barcelona , against whom thrilling derbies were initially held, were far removed from the smaller Jockey Club in terms of performance.
The club disbanded in 1989.
