Piegendorf is a district of the municipality of Neufahrn in Niederbayern in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

Piegendorf is located in the Hallertau more than five kilometers northwest of Neufahrn.

history

The Piegendorf community initially belonged to the Pfaffenberg regional court and from 1838 to the newly established Rottenburg an der Laaber regional court . The church village Piegendorf itself had nine houses and 44 inhabitants in 1849. In 1862 the community came to the district office of Rottenburg an der Laaber, and in 1939 it was renamed the district of Rottenburg an der Laaber . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Piegendorf was incorporated into Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria on May 1, 1978.
