Piero Lardi Ferrari (born May 22, 1945 in Castelvetro di Modena ) is an Italian entrepreneur and industrialist.

He is the son of Enzo Ferrari and Lina Lardi degli Adelardi († 2006) and half-brother of Alfredo Ferrari, who died in 1956 of muscular dystrophy .

Piero Ferrari, who studied business administration , has been working for Ferrari , his father's company since 1965 , of which he has been vice-president since 1988 and in which he is a ten percent shareholder.

From 1998 to 2013 he was a co-owner of Piaggio Aero Industries . Ferrari was also chairman of the board of directors there. He also owns the company High Performance Engineering , which develops high-performance engines for Ducati , for example . In April 2016 his company took over F Investments SA. 13.2% of the mainly Chinese-owned yacht manufacturer Ferretti Group .

In 2004 Piero Ferrari was awarded the title Cavaliere del Lavoro . In the same year he received an honorary doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Naples Federico II . In 2005 the Universities of Modena and Reggio Emilia awarded him an honorary doctorate in mechanical engineering .
