Pierre Lhomme (born April 5, 1930 in Boulogne-Billancourt , † July 4, 2019 in Arles ) was a French cameraman .

Life

Pierre Lhomme received training as a cameraman during his military service in Germany . As assistant to u. a. Claude Renoir and Henri Alekan he was involved in numerous productions until he first worked as chief cameraman in 1960. In the course of his career, Lhomme was hired for various film projects and was behind the camera for pure entertainment films as well as artistically demanding works. After several nominations for the César in the category of best camera , he received the film award in 1989 for Camille Claudel and again in 1991 for Cyrano von Bergerac .
