Claude Renoir

Claude André Henri Renoir (born December 4, 1913 in Paris , † September 5, 1993 in Troyes ) was a French cameraman .

Life

Claude Renoir came from a family of artists: his father was the actor Pierre Renoir , one of his uncles, who was also called Claude Renoir (1901–1969), producer ( Nana ) and director, and his grandfather the painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir . With his other uncle, the director Jean Renoir , Claude Renoir made several films, including Eine Landpartie ( Partie de campagne ), 1936 and Der Strom ( The River ) 1951. Renoir, who worked with directors such as Roger Vadim and Maurice Cloche , lost during the 1970s slowly his eyesight and early 1980s, retired from the film business. He made his last film, the documentary Lovers of Truel , in 1985.
