Pierre qui Tourne (Vay)
The Pierre qui Tourne (also called Menhir de la Drouetterie) is a menhir in Vay near Châteaubriant in the Loire-Atlantique department in France .
The menhir is a prismatic quartz monolith about 2.7 meters high, inclined slightly to the north . Its top is surmounted by a cement base supported by a cross. Other blocks in its vicinity are likely the remains of an indefinite, more complex megalithic structure.
The menhir was classified as a monument historique in 1928 .
Pierre qui Tourne is a name often used in southern Belgium and in France for megalithic structures and menhirs ( Pierre qui Tourne (Baileux) , Pierre qui Tourne (Beaurieux) , Pierre qui Tourne (Bézancourt) , Pierre qui Tourne (Morancez) , Pierre qui Tourne (Sautin) and Pierre qui Tourne (Velaine sur Sambre) ).
