Piet Baumgartner

Piet Baumgartner (* 1984 in Rapperswil BE ) is a visual artist and director with a transdisciplinary approach, active in the fields of film, visual arts and theater. Piet lives and works in Zurich and Paris .

Life

Piet started his career as a journalist before completing an MA in film directing at the Zurich University of the Arts . Piet is a graduate of the script workshop in Munich . After completing his training with Andrzej Wajda in Warsaw, he worked as an assistant to Frank Castorf and René Pollesch at the Schauspielhaus Zurich .

Piet works both independently and in collaboration with Rio Wolta and has received numerous international awards. He teaches at the F + F School for Art and Design .
