The Piet Meyer Verlag AG is an independent Swiss book publisher headquartered in Bern and secondary headquarters in Vienna. He publishes writings on visual artists and art history.

history

The publishing house was founded by Piet Meyer in Basel in 2007, and there has been another publishing office in Vienna since 2010. The Swiss publisher is an ethnologist and art historian, lived in Paris, spent several years traveling in Africa and is a recognized expert on the ancient art of the black continent. His publishing house, which he founded as a lateral entrant and largely runs as a one-man business, started with the Small Library series and two books. The non-so-small library was added after just one year, followed by the capital library in 2010 . The series differ in terms of their size and format, but all remain text-oriented and small-format compared to the illustrated books of other large art publishers. What all of the publisher's publications have in common is the careful editing and high-quality equipment of the books, which have numerous color illustrations. The publishing house regularly takes part in the book fairs in Frankfurt and Leipzig as well as in the independent fair "BuchQuartier" in Vienna.
