Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni
Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni , also Peter Anton Lorenzi (* around 1721 in Cles , † 1782 in Salzburg ) was an Italian painter .
Life
Lorenzoni was born in the Non Valley of Trento, the son of a blacksmith. He spent some time in Rome and was later a student of Paul Troger . He came to Salzburg through the art-promoting Count Franz Laktanz von Firmian , where he became court painter under Archbishop Sigismundus Christoph von Schrattenbach . He trained the painter Johann Nepomuk della Croce and died very wealthy on the 2nd floor of the master locksmith's house on Mönchsberg . His nephew Johann Baptist Lampi the Elder was one of his students .
Services
Lorenzoni was very active in the Archdiocese of Salzburg and made a large number of altar leaves, many of his works are in Salzburg cemeteries. His portraits of the Mozart family are also known .
