Piratförlaget

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Piratförlaget is a Swedish publisher. It was founded in Stockholm in 1999 by the Swedish writers Liza Marklund and Jan Guillou and the publisher Ann-Marie Skarp . The publisher publishes fiction by Nordic writers , in particular by Swedish authors.

It is the declared aim of the company, in contrast to other publishing houses in Sweden, to involve the authors more in the publishing work and in the company's profits. The publisher and the respective author share the profit at a ratio of 50:50. Thanks to the ties of numerous well-known and successful writers, this publishing concept has a solid financial basis.
