Piroska Tábori
Piroska Tábori (born November 20, 1892 in Budapest ; † May 2, 1947 there ) was a Hungarian writer and translator .
Life
She was the daughter of the writer Róbert Tábori. She studied at the Pedagogical University in Budapest, where she graduated as a teacher. From 1916 to 1922 she worked at a Budapest library . One focus of her work as a writer was youth literature . Her two youth novel series about the characters Dani Dugó and Peti Csavar achieved particular popularity . In addition, she translated foreign literature into the Hungarian language . She was married to the opera singer Zoltán Závodszky. She ended her life in May 1947.

Translations
Tábori has translated more than 50 foreign works, among others by Arnold Bennett , Svend Fleuron , Wilhelm Hauff , Selma Lagerlöf , Camille Lemonnier , Maria von Peteani and Edgar Wallace .
