The Pitcairn PA-33 was a gyroplane made by the US manufacturer Pitcairn Aircraft Company and was tested as the YG-2 by the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC). Only prototypes were made.

The first PA-33, built with two seats in tandem, was designated by the USAAC as the YG-2 and the second by the US Navy as the XOP-2 . The second machine built was given the factory designation PA-34 and is said to have been built from the XOP-1 with the bureau number A-8850. Both copies used a 420 hp Wright R-975 E-2 radial engine as drive . The diameter of each rotor was 14.08 m (46 ft. 2 in.).

According to different literature information, in addition to the single YG-2 (USAAC serial number 35-279), three machines as XOP-1s are said to have been manufactured for the US Navy. These bore the bureau numbers A-8850 and A-8976/77. The A-8976 is said to have been transferred to the US Marine Corps later . However, these three machines were likely variants of the PCA-2 .
