Pius Fischer (art historian)
Pius Fischer OSB (born April 24, 1902 in Weppersdorf as Konrad Fischer ; † April 2, 1983 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) was an art historian .
Life
After graduating from the Benedictine high school in Ettal in 1921, he entered the Ettal monastery . He studied in Sant'Anselmo , Salzburg and Munich , and after ordination in 1926 received his doctorate in 1932. Dr. phil. in Würzburg . From 1945 he taught at the Benedictine high school in Ettal. In 1970 he was accepted into the Sectio historica of the Bavarian Benedictine Academy.
