The Pizzo Peloso is a mountain in the Swiss canton of Ticino between the Onsernone valley and the Maggia valley . The summit is at 2064 m above sea level. The neighboring summit in the south is the Pizzo della Croce .
There is no official route to Pizzo Peloso. However, a path crosses its northern flank from the northwestern Passo della Bassa ( 1804 m ) to the eastern Passo della Maggia ( 1973 m ). From here the summit has to be climbed without a path. According to the SAC hiking scale , this ascent corresponds to a level of difficulty T3 to T4. From Berzona (Valle Onsernone) you have to reckon with about 5 hours to the summit.
