Pjetërq i Poshtëm ( Albanian also Pjetërqi i Poshtëm or Pjetërq / - i Ulët , Serbian Доњи Петрич Donji Petrič ) is a village in Kosovo that belongs to the municipality of Klina . The village is one of the few villages in Klina inhabited by Catholics .
geography
Pjetërq i Poshtëm is on the 9 road from Pristina to Peja . It is located 15 km southeast of Peja and 33 km west of Pristina. Klina , the main town in the municipality, is 8 km (as the crow flies) east of the village and can be reached by bus. There is no rail connection. The villages Drenovc, Pjetërq i Epërm and Jagoda border the village . The Bistrica flows through the southern part of the village.
population
According to the 2011 census, the village has 160 inhabitants. All of them (100%) are Albanians.
religion
In 2011, 82 people (51.25%) described themselves as Muslims and 78 (48.75%) as Catholics.
The Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul , built in 1977/78, was demolished after the war and replaced by a new one. In June 2014 a new church tower was added.
