Plank (unit)

Planke was a measure of liquid in various cities along the North and Baltic Sea coasts of just under half a liter . The plank was used in Hamburg , Lübeck , Rostock , Schwerin , Holstein and other places in Mecklenburg . The measure was also called Plank and was identical to the Oeßel, also Nösel . The level was different in each of these regions. Generally it was true

  • 1 plank = 1 plank = 1 nosel = 1 oel
  • 1 quarter = 2 planks = 4 locations
