Pleasant Grove is a city in the US state of Alabama in Jefferson County . In 2000 the city had 9,983 inhabitants. According to the updates, Pleasant Grove had a population of about 10,300 in 2004.

At the time of the 2000 United States Census, Pleasant Grove was inhabited by 9,983 people. The population density was 436.0 people per km². There were 3717 housing units at an average of 162.3 per km ². The Pleasant Groves population was 84.67% White , 14.44% Black or African American , 0.19% Native American , 0.15% Asian , 0.16% said racial , and 0.38% named two or more races. 0.28% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
