The Plose hut ( Italian Rifugio Città di Bressanone alla Plose ) is a 2447  m high mountain shelter and ski hut in South Tyrol ( Italy ). It is close to the peaks of the Plose in the Dolomites counted Lüsner mountains .

Location and surroundings

The hut is located east of Brixen in the Eisack valley on the Plose near the three peaks. The Telegraph is a little to the north, the Pfannspitze and the Gabler can be reached via the Lüsner Scharte to the east. If you turn north at the Lüsner Scharte, you will arrive at Lüsen . On the roads to the south you get to Afers .

Plose hut around 1894

In 1884, the Brixen section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club decided to build a refuge on the Plose. The inauguration took place in 1887, the first expansion in 1904.

After the First World War , the hut was expropriated by the Italian state and given to the Brixen section of the Club Alpino Italiano . Over the years it has been rebuilt and significantly expanded several times. Today it is located in a ski area and is mainly visited by winter sports enthusiasts.
