Podem Peak

The Podem Peak (English, Bulgarian връх Подем wrach Podem ) is a 800  m high and icy mountain on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southeastern part of Basarbovo Ridge in the Stribog Mountains, it rises 3.23 km southeast of Mediolana Peak , 4.54 km southwest of Einthoven Hill and 2.7 km west-northwest of Bov Point . The latter is an offshoot of this mountain. Its steep southern slopes are partly not iced. The Malpighi Glacier is southwest and the Swetowratschene Glacier is northeast of it.

British scientists mapped it in 1980 and 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the town of Podem in northern Bulgaria .
