The Pointe de Drône is a mountain in the Valais Alps on the border between the Aosta Valley in Italy and the canton of Valais in Switzerland . It has a height of 2949 m above sea level. M. and is located northwest of the Great St. Bernhard Pass .
geography
On the Italian side, the Pointe de Drône is north of the Vallée du Grand-Saint-Bernard , a side valley of the Aosta Valley . On the north side it closes the Combe de Drône , a small side valley of the Val d'Entremont , to the south.
The three small mountain lakes Lacs de Fenêtre lie on its western slope .

The 12-kilometer hiking trail no.210 Les cols du Grand-St-Bernard from Wanderland Schweiz leads around the Pointe de Drône, walking time approx. 5 hours.
The Point de Drône is a popular destination for ski tourers in winter .
