In 1947 the PSV was one of the founding members of the Landesliga Ost and qualified fourth for the single-track Landesliga Schleswig-Holstein . After two years, he was relegated to the 2nd East Amateur League . Only after the club's juniors became national champions in 1961 and 1962 did the police kick pick up again.

In 1965 they returned to the top division of the country, now known as the amateur league . In the promotion season, the team caused a sensation with a 2-1 victory over champions VfR Neumünster . In 1968 the team was relegated to the Association League North and in 1975 had to go to the District League East. In 1987 it went down to the district class and two years later the SV Police reached the district league. A few years later, the club gave up organized football and has only played in the leisure league since then.
